 November 10, 2010

Hi all!

My last week's email got a lot of people thinking about the future!  LOL  I have had several enquiries regarding upcoming class schedules.  So, while it still seems early to me, I'm announcing the monthly classes that I know now.  This is good, since I'm often a "last minute, seat-of-the-pants kinda gal"!

So now you can check your calendars and see how many classes you can fit in your busy schedules!  Or how many quilts you know you can't live without!  LOL

GIFT CERTIFICATES can be used on classes too! "Hint, hint" to the families for the holidays:

We will use the Kaleidoscope Symphony book.  I've made all these blocks at least once and they are pretty easy, yet interesting. The class enrollment includes the cost of the book, and will be discounted if you previously purchased this book from us.  Monthly mailings will be $7.50 including postage.  Kits for the whole quilt can be ordered in their entirety too.

Civil War Chronicles - Sampler quilt finished approx. 108 inches square, 12 monthly kits will include pattern & fabric for top.

The Joy of Life - This 9-part sampler quilt finishes approx. 60 inches square.  It can be stitched using either the needle-turn or blanket stitch appliqué techniques. This beautiful quilt was designed by Rosalie Quinlan as she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. It is a reflection of her journey and the joy that she has found in everyday life.  Monthly kit price will include pattern & fabric for top.

We are working on re-arranging the Mall store.  We've brought in new PRE-PRINTED embroidery projects with HOLIDAY gifting and decorating in mind.  Come check out the new look and the newest fabrics that have been added this week.  New deliveries include a variety of manufacturers, all 100% COTTON, 1st quality.

The SRS is once again gathering QUILTS FOR FOSTER CHILDREN.  This is their THIRD Annual Christmas Quilt Drive and the need continues.

Last week they told me that they had 480 quilts collected for 900 children.  The need remains greatest for older youth and teens.  They would like quilts approx. 45 x 60 inches for babies or twin bed size, approx. 65 x 85, for youth and teens, but will gratefully accept any appropriate quilt donation!

If you have an existing quilt or can finish new quilts in the next couple of weeks please bring them to our Mall store location and we'll see that they get delivered.  If you or your sewing group would like more information for the upcoming year & 4th Annual Quilt Drive, please contact Toni Harryman or Barbara Rikli at 316-321-4200.
