Hi all!

Happy early birthday to my Dad!  :)

Here is my Dad and his older brother, wearing outfits made by one of their sisters for 4-H.

And Happy Birthday to ALL the March babies!

Say it with pennants!  An easy way to set up BIRTHDAY WISHES anywhere.  (Dad, you gave me a funny look when I strung something like this across your office door, but really, this is festive! :)

The instructions are printed right on the panel!

While The Sunshine State may be getting brighter and more colorful, Kansas remains in its black/white phase of the year.  Have you seen the new movie, Nebraska?  I heard one reviewer ask the director why he shot it in black & white. (btw - Dad's "colorized" photo was shot in Nebraska too!)

Not quite black/white, but without a lot of color, yet still lovely in it's own way.

HEARTY GOOD WISHES from designer Janet Clare, was inspired by "winter on the coast".
So serene.

I just love this new line from MODA.

Lots of variety of patterns & textures, check it out here:

If you haven't figured it out from the variety found in my stores, let me tell you, my tastes run the entire spectrum!

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Barbara Brackman's blogs!  She too runs the spectrum, tying them all together with history!

Check out this blog,, covering roughly 1870 - 1970. She has such a great sense of HUMOR!

And then check out her MORRIS influenced fabrics we have on hand.

And, if you like CIVIL WAR QUILTS be sure to check out our department full of Civil War fabrics from the era leading right up to MODERN.

Barbara's CIVIL WAR blog is an excellent source for block patterns.  Pictured here is the first block in her new BLOCK-A-MONTH series for 2014.

When you need 12" finished block patterns, (like if you are doing the Pizza Box Friendship Exchange), check out this web site every month for FREE BLOCK PATTERNS.  Really interesting!

Tomorrow, if you signed up for it, you can start picking up the 2014 PIZZA BOX Friendship exchange fabrics.  Easy as pizza pie! :)

If you didn't join us, but would like to organize an exchange among your own quilting buddies, please feel free to copy and use my "rules" as a guideline for your own exchange!

Now, here's the fun part!  You don't have to buy anything!  It can all be done from your own stash.  But if you do need something, we're here to help. :)

Looking for 12" block patterns or inspiration?  Check out the PORTSMOUTH STAR link above!

St. Patrick's Day is coming soon!  See all our IRISH fabrics here:

Both are QUILT-AS-YOU-GO techniques.

Check out POP OP BATIKS by Lynn Studios for Robert Kaufman.

There is lots of color in the store now and on the pages of NEWEST ADDITIONS.

See them on the screen, then come in for a  little "touchy-feely", we don't mind!  LOL
