March 11, 2010 Hi all! Here we are, just waiting for sunshine! Luckily we have a daily influx of new fabric to keep us distracted! LOL Just a reminder, this weekend is "second Saturday". :)
I've had several requests for pictures of the monthly blocks. Here's a shot of the Crown of Thorns that you should have received in February. We are sold out of Ella May & Josephine just exactly as shown. But 2 NEW SISTERS have arrived on the scene, and they come from the same gene pool! One might even be the missing TWIN, though not identical! LOL So, if you like the images of Josephine, and order now, we'll send you JOYCE and ELEANOR is similar to ELLA MAE, for new orders. Joyce has just a slightly different "skin" color with different "freckles" and a little different wardrobe! [We have changed the fabric that will be used as background fabric in all 12 blocks.]

This year it will happen on March 27, which is the last Saturday in March. The Bus will leave the store here in Newton at approx. 8 a.m., travel north to Salina, then east to Manhattan, south to Emporia and then back to Newton by about 6 that same evening. It is planned to be a really fun day. $65 covers all transportation, breakfast, lunch & snacks. We just never rest around here! Many of you enjoy picking up the little SNAP SACK kits. They are packaged with the pattern and all the fabric you need to complete a small quilt. We purchase the pattern and always add our own fabrics. Well, we just kept looking at the POSH POSIES mini-quilt and couldn't help but think that a small inner border would sure improve things. Mary had enough fabric left over from the binding to stitch a small inner border to the finished wall quilt, and low and behold! like magic! It looks much better! :) We still think a little stitchery embellishment would help too, and hey, maybe this weekend there'll be some time!
