Hi all!
Yea! It is Spring
Break here and the weather just may be cooperating. Not terribly
warm, but we did see the sun today and my neighbor's yard has some
flowers showing! (Nothing in my yard, but then again, I've given
up gardening, so they'd practically have to be "volunteer",
and we all know what those really are. LOL)
Want some beautiful BIG
flowers right now, check out Cleo's Designs here:

The store has been
lively all week.
We love it when you stop
to introduce yourself as one of our web
customers! Thanks!
We've enjoyed meeting lots of great kids on
break as well as many of you who are just traveling through.

I enjoy seeing the
enthusiasm in the young teens & 20-somethings. Really, it is
something that has changed in recent years. Quilts are now
"cool" and there is so much "cool" fabric that
they approach it very differently. Maybe it has something to do
with less or no exposure to sewing in school, maybe it is the the
retro thing or the likes of etsy and all the cool crafts being
done. Whatever it is, they are much more engaged in the process
when they come into the store, and we love it.

As
you probably know by now, I am attracted to all types & styles of
fabric. I'm also trying hard to figure out what appeals to guys
who quilt. So, in the vein of "cool" and
"guys", I'm currently in love with Douglas Day's new fabric
designs for Free Spirit Fabrics.
Check out BE A MAN and
100% REBEL! Way cool!

Lily was home at the
beginning of the week for Spring Break. She & Rita decided
to "tackle" the BARGAIN STORE. They moved and
re-arranged lots of fabric & display cabinets. Anita &
Jennifer have been working on further markdowns on short-bolt fabrics,
bundling and labeling for "quick pick-up". So you will
find lots of new 3-yard BORDER BUNDLES, 5-yard BACKING BUNDLES as well
as bundled SHORT ENDS & new BARGAIN FAT QUARTERS.
New
FLANNEL arrived early in the week and we are expecting a shipment of
MARCUS CLOSEOUTS any day.
So, be sure you stop in
to see what's new!
