Hi all!
My parents arrive tonight, so I have lots of clean-up to
do in this house!
But I just wanted to drop you a quick note reminding you
to take a look at the What's New section of the web store or better yet, stop
into the store in Newton!

We have lots of fabric that hasn't made it onto the web
yet. Including the newest CUDDLE UP and SNUGGLE UP textured fabrics from
Michael Miller in yummy colors! Great new MODA BABY FLANNELS and PRINTED FLEECE
too.
Lily (my 17 year old daughter) and I had a great time at
Quilt Market in Houston. She quickly fell into step and grasped our task
of seeing as much
as possible, getting a feel for all that is available and making some big
decisions! And she LOVED it! yea!
I tried to look at everything through her
"younger" eyes before I pronounced judgments. She made lots of
good observations and sound suggestions. I was most interested to see that
she also likes the great variety of styles and fabrics that we carry in the
store.
Of course, I knew she'd like Michael Miller's, Free
Spirit's and Alexander Henry's bright, CONTEMPORARY fabrics. And we
ordered lots more of these! GREAT COLORS - pinks, aqua, lime green,
corals, misty blue and chocolate brown! Over the
past 20+ years I've noticed the subtle changes in the store's product mix as our
own life-stages have changed. Well, ask a 17 year old to help buy and
you'll notice the great new PILLOW PATTERNS and SCRAP BOOK COVER pattern book.
Lily is planning her Senior Exit Portfolio (with decorative pages and cover) and
her college dorm room for next year too! :) http://www.sewnatural.net/nli.asp?iid=7365 http://www.sewnatural.net/nli.asp?iid=7349
Lily also likes "tradition" and we agreed on
much of the REPRODUCTION fabrics, especially the 17th & 18th century
lines. There are some great recent discoveries of old quilts which are
being used as inspirations for new fabric lines. More on that later.
Meanwhile,
this is one of my most favorite weeks of the year! The dozen Maple trees
which surround our house are on fire! The glow in the house during the day
is fabulous, even when it is slightly overcast! And this year my Floridian
parents are going to get to enjoy it too.
Thimbleberries fabric often capture the wonderful
feeling of Fall. We've got a new kit, featuring a printed panel that looks
just like appliqué. Use THIMBLEBERRIES "FALL FOLK ART" pattern
and fabrics to create this great wall quilt or large throw.

NEXT WEEKEND we participate in Newton's annual TASTE OF
CHRISTMAS. You can win prizes, gift certificates, and snack on lots of
yummy treats when you visit many of our fine Newton businesses.
THURSDAY November 10th I'll be presenting an OVERVIEW OF
QUILT MARKET. I'll introduce as many of the new products, patterns, books
and fabrics as time allows! This happens at 10 a.m., during our usual
SEWING CLUB meeting time. But all are welcome to attend this once for
FREE, so come if you can!
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY the 11th and 12th we'll be
demonstrating a variety of NEW PATTERNS, NEW PRODUCTS and techniques including
WOOL NEEDLE-FELTING, QUICK LONE STAR, NEW- EASY TABLE RUNNER, & MORE.
Watch your emails for a specific schedule.
And
as all quilters love to belong to groups and GATHER, we think that this
wonderful ArtQuilt from McKenna Ryan, "THE GATHERING" will make
a perfect decoration for the entire winter or even all year! Kay has made our model and put together the kits -

Well, I'd better stop procrastinating and go clean a
bathroom or two and make a bed! Then I have to finish planning my
Thimbleberries project for tonight's class. AND I just noticed that I
haven't posted any of those projects to the web site since August -
horrors! I'll search for those images, pockets on a jacket and a
"Welcome" wall quilt, get those posted and send another email to those
of you who are doing my OTHER QUILT CLUB.
Have a great weekend and hope you can stop in an visit
us soon!
Sincerely,
Charlotte Wolfe
