Hi all!

  SERENITY CIRCLES - use a wonderful variety of JAPANESE TAUPE fabrics and the 7" CRAZY CURVES templates from Elisa's Backporch to make a wonderful quilt!  

The cover quilt uses all the SERENITY II fabrics.  Beautiful taupes from Japan.  We've cut a 45" x 6" strip from each of the 23 fabrics, perfect for making this 56" x 56" quilt top!  Add borders or more blocks or both to make bed-size!  Watch our web site for the entire line of fabrics to be posted soon.  You can always use our SEARCH feature, and simply type in "serenity".  This should bring up all available products.  Click here to see what I mean:

As we're zoom-zooming into the final week before Christmas (are we there yet?), I'm madly trying to get organized for next year too!  And we're taking a little family "vacation" before Christmas, so my time feels even shorter!  As always, I wish for more time to sew and wish I could give you the gift of more time.  

In the TIME DEPARTMENT, the "best" I can do is to offer you the opportunity to "retreat" at the Hyatt Hotel in Wichita.  :)

Hi all!

Wow, our first real snow storm last week has added to our Christmas mood.  Randy & I took a fast trip to Nevada, MO (they had even more snow over there) to hear Lily in the Cottey College string ensemble concert.  All the music groups were good, and we especially enjoyed the Christmas pieces.  They'd had their "traditional" hanging of the greens and everything was nicely decorated creating a "cheery" atmosphere for serious finals studying!  

Speaking of decorating, I was inspired to finish up my own, unique, MISTLETOE ORNAMENTS wall hanging.  

I just love circles and there are several new tools that make cutting and stitching curves much easier.  I used the new 3½" QUARTER CIRCLE acrylic template set from Elisa's Backporch to cut up MISTLETOE MANOR 5" charm squares and put together a fun ORNAMENTS WALL HANGING.  I then embellished with antique gold trim.  Check it out here:

In addition to the Mistletoe Ornaments wall hanging kit above, we've also added several additional new CHARM PACK projects.  

Another local designer, Toni Steere, has come up with a fun way to embellish a sweatshirt with 5" charm squares - CHARMED JACKET.

This week we're finishing up 2006's OTHER QUILT CLUB featuring THIMIBLEBERRIES' fabrics from RJR.  Each month we've made a different small quilt using a Lori Smith pattern.  This month we used a lot of the new SUBTLE SOLIDS introduced by Lynette Jensen to go with all her Thimbleberries fabrics.  See this new RJR palette here:
