Fabric Manufacturer's sites
are always fun to browse. I have lots of fabric in the store that
is not on my web site, so if you see something on one of these sites
that you want, please ask, as I very well may have it!
http://www.rjrfabrics.com/
Take a look at it in RJR's fabric
gallery & then ask me which lines I currently have on hand and which
are coming!
http://www.unitednotions.com/
Check out "In the stores now"
category. We carry lots of Moda Fabrics.
http://www.pbtex.com/
We especially like P&B's wide goods
for backing quilts.
United Notions, Checker and EE Schenck are
distributors of Notions & Books, whose sites are also
interesting.
Again, we can order anything you see on one of their sites, just
ask us!

Great Products' websites include:
QuiltSmart
interfacing comes in
many different styles (and we stock all of them!), but the newest Lone
Star printed grid interfacing is my favorite. Check out this site
for a quick over-view of how the product works and pictures of wonderful
quilts made easily and quickly, using this product!

Creative sites:
http://www.womenfolk.com
An inspirational and interesting site by Judy Anne Johnson Breneman,
I particularly enjoyed the articles about women's
"creativity".

This page is the "entrance" to many different
"lesson" pages.

Some of my "friends in
the neighborhood":
http://www.prairieharvestnewton.com
My "next door" neighbor, two doors north, Prairie Harvest is a
specialty food store that concentrates on naturally produced and bulk
foods. If you're looking for fresh food or hard-to-find products or
trying to care for a special diet, you'll find what you need and more.
http://www.newtonyogacenter.com
Check out their class schedule for the Fall. New location is
at street level, just 1/2 block west of Main Street on 5th Street.
What Is Yoga? Yoga is a practice that teaches discipline of mind, body, and spirit. It consists of poses that stretch and strengthen muscles, increase circulation, and calm the mind. The teacher demonstrates correct alignment and guides students to modify the poses if a more difficult or an easier workout is desired. The use of breathing exercises and relaxation are two ways yoga is different from other exercise programs.

Other good sites to know
about:
http://www.quiltingculture.com
Marilyn Klaus, an old friend and Charlotte's Sew
Natural alum, together with Sharon Sawatzky are working on an
interesting research project. They hypothesize that fabric
coverings are
windows
into
the materials
and technology
of geographic regions
or religious groups and a
medium
through which cultural
meanings are
communicated. Please
check out this web site, especially if you have ever made and donated a
quilt to a Mennonite auction, or if you have ever purchased a quilt at a
Mennonite auction. They are gathering data! Be sure to check
out "Kaleidoscope of Nations" http://www.quiltingculture.com/pages/ourproject/kaleidoscope.htm
This a great picture of the Kaleidoscope of Nations quilt which was the
featured quilt for the 2003 Ontario Mennonite Relief Sale.
It sold
on auction for $44,000 CDN.
