Hi all!

Happy Halloween!

We'll be handing out candy during Newton's annual HALLOWEEN WALK on Main Street this evening.  Come by in your costume or with your little one and say "hi". :)

Maybe a bit late for this year's Holiday, but for the true fan, this bit of garland will be fun to have hanging around all year long!

Check out Lily's handy-work - she fused fabric together, then cut apart on the printed lines, and strung on fish line, embellishing with a bit of beads and ribbon.  Very cute!  Difficult to photograph, so you'll have to be sure to check it out hanging from the ceiling when you're in the store.

She used STRIPED PANELS from Chillingsworth collection, seen here:

Lily & I had a great "road trip" to QUILT MARKET Houston. We left last Wednesday and made all kinds of stops along the way, for food & fabric research. :)

As you know, I'm a true FABRIHOLIC.  I "HEART" fabric, and ADORE this covered LOVE seat and ottoman in the MODA showroom in Dallas.

The MODA booth at Market was themed "No Place Like Moda".

Notice the garland of large Yo-Yos strung together, a larger than life-size needle and spools of thread and pincushion up above.  It was all quite clever!

Not to mention all the quilts made using the latest offering of fabrics that will be arriving Spring of 2015.

The theme of the entire market was RUBY JUBILEE, celebrating the 40th Quilt Market.

A fabulous collection of red & white quilts were on display, originally gathered and displayed in NYC.  It was very impressive.

Red & white quilts have been popular for 100s of years. The original showing of the RUBY quilt in NYC was the inspiration for our quilt, fabrics & kit still available, GALLERY IN RED or BLUE.  Make your own classic!

 Lily has created a

with a collection of some of the things that got us excited at QUILT MARKET last weekend.  There was so much to see!

More to come as she continues to comb through our notes.  Follow it here:

For more fun, you can also see Lily's photo posts to Instagram.  Simply go to Instagram and search for @EauLily (name Lily Tailor). She snaps and shares pics of quilt projects and more.

Visit to start!

We got to see a finished quilt of WING and A PRAYER's latest Block-A-Month quilt, MOONLIGHT SONATA.

These hand-dyed & batik fabrics should be available soon in the store and on the web.  We'll cut kits as soon as we have both the fabrics & patterns.  :)

Watch here for announcement of their arrival.  It is really beautiful!

Check out these beautiful batiks used in the borders!  When available, you'll be able to see them here:

In the QUILTING TREASURES booth at Market, we found this beautifully quilted version of the

for the next program we'll start here at

Charlotte's Sew Natural in January 2015.

Please watch this newsletter, or ask in the store for more details and to sign up.

You buy the first block kit for $5, and then you get the next block kit for FREE, when you come to my presentation the following month and show us the block you made from the previous kit.

This is always fun, and good for discipline, especially for those of us who tend to procrastinate!

2015's quilt piecing will really be quite easy, but as you can tell by this photo, it will be beautiful, colorful, and the setting kit may make you look like you worked really hard when you didn't!  LOL

Beginners to Advanced are welcome.  Come join us.

At Quilt Market we not only look for new fabric, but we look for the LATEST & GREATEST new NOTIONS, PATTERNS & BOOKS!

The inventors & authors are often there and full of information and tips on the best way to educate you, our customers.

I am excited to share with you the latest "craze", FOLDED STARS, and the super easy, short-cuts we've discovered!

Product arriving soon, but be sure to mark you calendars, and come see us

We'll have an entire day of HOMEMADE HOSPITALITY at 4 quilt shops, including Charlotte's Sew Natural.

I'll be demonstrating this new techniques for FOLDED STARS, to be used in pot holders, table runners, pin cushions, as quilt blocks, and more.

Watch this newsletter for details.

The newest 2015 HOF FMAN CHALLENGE fabric is now available at Charlotte's Sew Natural!

Influenced by classic ancient world textiles, MANDALAY is a collage of textures and colors.

We've got the main piece and a few coordinates.  Only the one print must be used to meet the challenge, but we're offering you some others that play well with it.

Go to HOFFMAN CHALLENGE for complete details.  Entries due by July 2015.

Speaking of "challenge", CONGRATULATIONS to our local machine quilter extraordinaire, Jan Hutchison, who together with Gail Stepanek, WON the Pfaff Master Award for Machine Artitstry for their quilt, Stars on Mars, at the Quilt Festival in Houston this week.

It is an amazing work of art!  You will be seeing it in publications soon, I'm sure, so know you are looking at some of our "local talent".

I know there is lots of talent out there, so don't be afraid to take on a challenge and enter a contest or two. :)

And of course, as new fabrics come in, we need to move some out, so be sure to check out our SALE category on the web, or better yet, stop in to CHARLOTTE'S BARGAIN FABRIC & STITCHERY just off I-135 south of Newton.

Newest mark-downs include:

As the temperatures drop around here, it might be time to whip up an indoor camping scene like we saw in the ALEXANDER HENRY booth!

Hope to see you soon with all your creative ideas.  Have a great weekend.
