November 14, 2014

Hi all!

Oh, it turned frightfully cold this week.  And many of you even had record snowfalls!

So, maybe this is the right time to announce that I have finally finished my BUILD A SNOWMAN pattern and it is now for sale.  Since many of you who have expressed interest are from out of state, I will mail it for free.  No additional charges, just $9 for the pattern.

The original version was our Row By Row pattern all summer long at Charlotte's Bargain Fabrics at Chisholm Trail Mall.  It needed a bit of tweeking, as the tree element was originally a piece of fabric, which is no longer available.

My pattern includes all the appliqué patterns, already reversed, and ready to trace on paper-backed fusible web.

We are sold out of the exact fabrics as shown, but will soon be able to offer a new assortment of fabrics for a "different, but similar" look.  :)

If they are not our own, it is easy to forget the struggles many families make every day, serving their fellow Americans, being active in the military.  Thank you for the many roles you play.  Thank you for the sacrifices.

Quilters love to express ourselves by making quilts!  That's what we do!

Moda's two newest patriotic fabric lines will be featured in their latest CHALLENGE CONTEST.

I am inspired by this hauntingly simple quilt from Moda designer Stephanie Hove, PEACEFUL.

What inspires you?

These two unique fabric lines, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE and RED, WHITE & FREE, will be arriving any day.  They are on our web site, so you can pre-order right now.  Ask us to hold so you can pick up, to save on shipping costs.

  • These fabrics are currently DISCOUNTED 10% for you, and for every yard sold by the end of the year

  • I will donate an additional 15% of the sale price to Catholic Charities', ST. ANTHONY'S FAMILY SHELTER.

St. Anthony's does special outreach to low-income and homeless veterans and their families in Wichita, and serve many local counties as well.

You can see the CHALLENGE fabrics used in quilts and get a bit more info on them at Moda's Cutting Table blog (complete with typo), here:
