Hi all!

We have been busy trying to get as prepared as we can for this CLEARANCE SALE at the BARGAIN STORE.  This might be ridiculous and I'll never do it again, so better not miss the fun!

SALE  SALE  SALE  - We are opening at 9:30 on Thursday.

At the MALL, Nov. 4th, 5th & 6th ONLY!

Buy 5 yards of PINK TAG fabric & get 5 yards FREE!

The lower price yardage, pink tag or not, will be free.

Minimum cut 1/2 yard, sold in 1/2 yard increments.

WHAT A DEAL!!  Hope to see you Thursday, Friday &/or Saturday at

Charlotte's Bargain Fabric & Stitchery at The Chisholm Trail Mall!

I just returned from Houston and 3 days at QUILT MARKET.  Lily went with me (I hope not for the last time, but she does have a full-time job lined up for after graduation!)

If we saw any kind of trend, I'd say it was CATS & DOGS.  We'll be adding lots more fabrics in this department, because there were so many darned cute ones!

We saw lots of "celebrities", like Eleanor Burns pictured above, doing one of her demonstrations, like only she can do!

WHIRLIGIG is one of her new Signature Patterns.  It quite cleverly shows you how to get 3 different quilts from one jelly roll and some background fabric.  You can order it here:

If you've never seen her on stage, she is quite a hoot!  Very different from the TV shows.

Check out Eleanor's Whirligig demo on YouTube.  And then check out her "act" as performed on stage in Paducah, Kentucky!

at Paducah:

Sometimes we think that they just can't come up with any more really good, new stuff, but the fabric companies always have plenty of inspirational quilts to show off their fabric lines.

Here's Gail from Andover Fabrics about to start her presentation.  So many designers and great lines to choose from!  See our entire selection of current ANDOVER FABRICS here and watch for new ones:

It is especially fun to see what our favorite designers have come up with each MARKET.  This Fall Marti Michell introduced WILD ROSE II, beautiful NAVY BLUE & YELLOW fabrics and a new BOM, THE ROMANCE CONTINUES too.  Here's a sneak peek.  My photo is dark, but it is NAVY, not black.

Marti also introduced a new TEMPLATE SET S, to go along with Set M, which is a 12 inch 5-patch, SET S is for 6 inch 5-patch blocks.

See the newest sets here:

While we were working at Market in Houston, the staff here in the store was having fun with the newly arrived CELEBRATE SEUSS!

From Robert Kaufman, these fabrics are "exactly" like the book illustrations.  They've done an excellent job with the COLORS as well as the BLACK & WHITES!

See them all here:

While we really enjoying meeting up with old friends and familiar designers, Market wouldn't be Market if you didn't make some new friends.  Our favorite "new friend" is KATE SPAIN.

I already loved her MODA fabric, and have several of her lines in the store now.

Lily & I just loved meeting and visiting with her about her concepts & projects.  She was super friendly, talented and TALL, but down-to-earth!  We'll be getting her newest CENTRAL PARK, soon, but meanwhile, check out her other fabrics here:

If there was a color trend, I'd say it was BLUE.  See the color blue bag that Lily is wearing and the color of Kate Spain's walls?  That is the color we saw everywhere.  Sort of like BLUE SKIES, oops, I think I feel a song coming on!  LOL

Hope to see you soon!

Have a great weekend!
