Good for PLACEMATS as well as CRIB QUILTS, if you're going to machine quilt on a home sewing machine, try Hobbs' Crib size fusible 80 cotton/20 polyester batting -  25% off IN THE STORE for a limited time!

Want to make some fast TABLE RUNNERS!?

Try the DRESS THE TABLE, combo PATTERN/THANGLES packs -  SIX table runner patterns in each pack.

In DRESS THE TABLE 2, the finished runners are all 12.5" wide.
Two of the runners are 28.5" long and the
other four runners are 33.5" long.

This project pack includes the patterns for all six runners and a full
pack of 3.5" Thangles used to make the projects. There are enough Thangles so you can make the projects multiple times.

In DRESS THE TABLE 1, all the projects are made with 2.5" strips
of fabric. The cutting is easy!

Check out both project packs and all THANGLES here:

Speaking of THANGLES, available now, New BUCK-A-BLOCK year-long series - using 1.75" and 3.5" THANGLES.

The monthly BLOCK KIT for a BUCK to be picked up in the store, will contain 1 white strip & one black strip, and each month a different block pattern to make a 7-inch finished block.  You'll also need a package of 1.75" Thangles.

BONUS KITS will be available each month, to make the block larger, finishing at 14".  Each month's bonus kit will feature a different solid color, as well as a different black/white print and you'll always use the same pattern (available in the first month's kit).  The strips will be cut to size.  These kits will cost $3.99.  You'll also need 3.5" Thangles.

See the entire selection of THANGLES sizes here:

BUCK-A-BLOCK may be MAIL ORDERED.  $8.49/monthly includes postage or just $4.99 when added to any other order that month.

Lily has been doing quite a bit of handwork lately - lots of travelling!

She is working with Moda's newest
PRE-CUT HONEYCOMBS, fabrics from the line
Happy-to-Lucky by Bonnie & Camille.

Lily uses 2.5-inch HEXAGON paper shapes.  She wraps the edges and bastes the corners, then stitches together by hand.

She did all the pressing before leaving on the trip.

Since we didn't have the right size triangle papers in the store, she ended up cutting the hexagon papers into parts, to yield the triangles she  needed to join the hexagons with the solid white.  It worked just fine!.

This will be finished as a hexagon-shaped table mat.  Very cute!

I've been working on

from a new book Kansas City Star Quilts.

Instead of doing all the piecing by hand, you start by creating some pieced blocks by machine, and then carefully basting the hexagons to the exact same position.  Great patterns!

This is the type of thing I like to do sitting on the patio with my morning coffee.

The cats were a lot of help in the early stages!  But now I need some opinions on my project!

I have pieced and basted the first 7 hexagons.  Difficult to decide how to put them together.  There are 6 options, and I really like more than one of them!

Let me know what you think!  You can reply to this eletter, or if you can go to Charlotte's Sew Natural Facebook page, and add a comment, that would be great!  You could "Like" us while you're there too. :)

Come to the store and take a closer look at the book, PIECED HEXIES,

and the paper pieces too!
